| Mark Cuban’s attorneys attach championship photo in Ross Perot Jr. lawsuit Posted: 22 Jun 2011 02:16 PM PDT Mark Cuban spent most of the playoffs in a virtual internet hibernation. He didn’t blog, he rarely tweeted, and he didn’t give interviews. Perhaps Cuban did it to not jinx the team, or perhaps, he just wanted to wait for the time where he could rub it in to all the naysayers. Well, that moment came sometime this morning when Cuban’s legal team pulled the ultimate F-U move in the Ross Perot Jr. lawsuit. Just a little background, Perot Jr. owns 5% of the Dallas Mavericks and in 2010, filed a legal claim that Cuban was essentially running the team into the ground. The words “reckless and careless” were thrown around nonchalantly. Yada, yada, yada….here’s what Cuban’s lawyers submitted in a motion to dismiss today. Via Dallas Observer:  There’s a little more to it than that but for all intents and purposes, that’s Cuban’s version of a legal middle finger. So yea, awesome. |
| A hostage stand-off finally gets its own Facebook status Posted: 22 Jun 2011 01:30 PM PDT When you’re holding someone hostage in a stand-off with police, you might have a lot of your mind. So why not turn to social media? That’s what Utahan Jason Valdez did. You have to see this to believe it.  Valdez barricaded himself and the hostage in an Ogden, Utah motel to avoid being arrested on a warrant for felony drug charges. In addition to the above status, Valdez posted a picture of hostage with the caption, “Got a cute ‘Hostage’ huh.” Some of Valdez’s friends followed along, even telling Valdez where SWAT units were mobilizing. The situation ended when Valdez shot himself as SWAT units moved into the motel room. Valdez is currently in critical condition. You can see more on the full blow-by-blow at the Associated Press. I’m just glad that social media has come so far that we can not only encourage the idiotic life decisions of loved ones via the Like button, but we can also then mock them after the fact because it lives on in perpetuity. It brings a tear to your eye, doesn’t it? One of the SWAT guys should have been ironic and done the ol’ prank of declaring Valdez was gay on his Facebook after they apprehended him. Double whammy! |

Posted: 22 Jun 2011 01:30 PM PDT Paying homage to games via song and verse is hardly anything new, nor special for the most part, since it’s almost always about Super Mario or sometimes Street Fighter (dude, rappers LOVE Street Fighter). But seriously, when was the last time anyone talked about Double Dragon? Let alone, you know, rapped about it. Warning: fairly NSWF lyrics… Also excellent is their rapping ontop of the always awesome stage one music from Batman NES… And okay, there are indeed countless dedications to Mega Man out there already, but that doesn’t mean this one isn’t any less amazing… Sorry, but can’t help passing along this last one, about the Legend of you know who… To find out more about the two guys responsible for all of the above… who recently split up, but are now doing their own things… just refer to this one final video. |

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Serbian model Nina Senicar in a bikini. It isn’t even the second time. But even though we’ve seen this before, it never, ever gets old. Leave it to a magazine based out of Italy that is supposed to be about sports, Sport Week magazine in this case, to bust out photos like this of a smokin’ Serbian model. That’s what I love about Italy, they’re an equal opportunity country when it comes to the sexy ladies.            |
