My verdict: Kim Kardashian weighed in on the Casey Anthony murder trial today
Kim Kardashian took a break from shopping and photoshoots to weigh in with her opinion on the Casey Anthony murder trial which is currently gripping America.
The socialite and reality TV star, 30, took to her Twitter on Tuesday during an afternoon of testimony in the high-profile case.
Orlando woman Casey Anthony is accused of killing her toddler daughter Caylee Anthony in 2008 and the lengthy murder trial is being streamed live on US TV.
Seemingly incredulous at the day's events, Kim asked her fans: 'Who is into this Casey Anthony case? So many theories & stories!
'This is a mess! Who do u believe? Who is lying here?'
She continued: 'What crazy testimony today! Casey's mom says one thing & her son says the opposite! Someone is lying here!'
The newly-engaged starlet finished her observations with: 'I believe Casey is guilty but there's so many conflicting stories raising so much reasonable doubt - I feel this will be a shocking outcome.'
Newly-engaged Kim's late father was famous Hollywood attorney Robert Kardashian.
He famously defended his friend O.J. Simpson, who was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Simpson.
Robert’s association with O.J. and eventual acquitted increased tensions with his ex-wife and Kim's mother, Kris, who was by then married to athlete Bruce Jenner.
Kim's comments: The reality TV star, whose father was famous Hollywood attorney Robert Kardashian, shared her thoughts on Twitter
Kris counted Nicole as a close friend and believed O.J. was guilty of her murder.
Robert died in 2003, just eight weeks after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
The bizarre contribution by Kim to the Casey Anthony trial will have been seen as unwelcome and unnecessary in some quarters.
Her daughter Caylee’s remains were found in swampy woodland near the Anthony family’s home in December 2008.
High-profile: Kim's father Robert, second from left, defended OJ Simpson during his murder trial in 1995
Five months previously, her grandmother had reported her missing after growing suspicious about the little girl’s month-long absence and Anthony’s repeated claims that the child was simply away staying with a nanny.
After being challenged about her story by her mother and sheriff’s deputies, Anthony changed her story, claiming that Caylee had been kidnapped by the nanny.
She has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in her daughter's death and could face the death penalty if convicted of that charge.
The prosecution says she used duct tape to suffocate the toddler but the defense says the girl drowned in her grandparents' swimming pool.
Yesterday, the meter reader who found the little girl's remains was put on the stand.
The trial continues.
