American-Canadian Tour’s 25thAnniversary Season
All stats include ACT Late Model Tour point-counting events only, unless otherwise noted.
· The ACT Late Model Tour completed its 19th season (1992-2010).
· The Waterford 150 season finale was the 212th ACT Late Model Tour point-counting event.
· 154 different drivers competed in 2010.
· 26 drivers competed in their first event.
· 606 different drivers have now competed on the ACT Late Model Tour.
· 23 drivers made their first career feature start.
· 510 competitors attended the 13 events for an average of 39.23.
· A total of 2021 laps were completed in the 13 events for a total of 777.63 miles.
· The 13 events were completed in a total of 16:08:36.
· John Donahue moved from the 31st starting position to 4th in the May 16th Oxford Plains Speedway 150 lap event, the biggest move by any driver in 2010.
· Austin Theriault’s second place effort in the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway 150 lap event in July was the best finish by a rookie since Nick Sweet finished 2nd at Oxford Plains Speedway in September of 2008.
· The 2010 Airborne Speedway Fall Foliage 300 was just the second 300 lap event in ACT Late Model Tour history, joining the 2009 Fall Foliage.
The 16 lead changes in the 2010 Fall Foliage 300 places it in a three-way tie for second on the lead changes in a single event list. The 2009 Fall Foliage and the 2004 Memorial Day Classic both had 19 lead changes.· Joey Polewarczyk, Jr.’s 154 laps led in the 2010 Bond Auto Labor Day Classic is the fifth most for a single event in ACT Late Model Tour history.
· Seven-time ACT Late Model Tour Champion Brian Hoar was the only driver to complete all 2,021 laps run in 2010.
· Hoar also had the best average finish for any driver with more than four starts in 2010 with 3.23.
· Eddie MacDonald and Nick Sweet both won every event they started on the ACT Late Model Tour in 2010. MacDonald won both the Oxford Plains Speedway events he started while Sweet won the Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road in his only start.
· Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. led the most laps of the season with 516. It is the most ever led in a single season.
· Brian Hoar (365) and Mark Hayward (167) were second and third on the 2010 laps led list.
· 25 different drivers led at least one lap in 2010.
· 300 of the 411 starters in the 13 events were on the track for the checkered flag.
· Brian Hoar, Brent Dragon, Mark Lamberton and Randy Potter are the only drivers to start all 13 events.
· 7 different drivers earned a win in 2010.
· 32 different drivers earned a top five.
· 47 different drivers earned a top ten.
· 128 of the 154 competitors started an event in 2010.
· Brian Hoar led a lap in 7 of the 13 events, which places him tied for second for the most events led in a single season. Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. led 5 events.
· Brian Hoar had the most top fives (10) and the most top tens (13), which is the second most ever in a single season in each category.
· There were 73 total cautions in 2010, which averages out to one every 27.7 laps.
· 5 of the 13 events were completed in under an hour with the shortest being the 47 minute and 29 second Waterford 150 season finale.
· The Riverside (St-Croix) Can-Am and the Airborne Speedway Fall Foliage 300 were the only events not completed in less than one hour and eighteen minutes. They were also the longest distanced events at 150 miles (Fall Foliage) and 107 miles (Can-Am). No other events exceeded 57 miles.
· Hoar’s 365 laps led gives him 2,121 for his career, which places him on top of the career laps led list, passing Jean-Paul Cyr’s 1,900. He is also on top of the career events led list with 47.
· Brent Dragon has now completed 21,669 of the 26,123 laps completed in the history of the ACT Late Model Tour.
· Brian Hoar now has 70 career top fives in 119 starts, which is the most in the history of the ACT Late Model Tour.
· Brent Dragon has 123 career top tens in 187 starts, which is the most in the history of the ACT Late Model Tour.
· Nick Sweet, Miles Chipman, and Mark Hayward all earned their first career ACT Late Model Tour feature wins. That brings the total to 60 different drivers that have won an ACT Late Model Tour event.
· Champion Brian Hoar earned $22, 360 in race winnings (not including point fund money) for the 13 point counting events. Including the non-point counting “Showdown at Chaudiere”, the ACT Invitational at NHMS and the Milk Bowl, Hoar earned $32,460 before point fund money.
· Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. earned $16,015 in race winnings (not including point fund money) for the 13 point counting events. Including the non-point counting “Showdown at Chaudiere”, the ACT Invitational at NHMS and the Milk Bowl, Pole earned $37,585 before point fund money.
