SARAH CORNETT-CHING CHOSEN AS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT FOR RACE 101 DENVER, NORTH CAROLINA

Submitted by Sarah Cornett-Ching

Nineteen year old up and coming race car driver Sarah Cornett-Ching has seen many successes in her young career and has been recently selected as one of three Canadians for the 2011 Race 101 scholarship. As a part of this years long program Sarah will be traveling to the Race 101 shop in Denver, North Carolina for classes and will have the opportunity to work with Tony Blanchard, Annamarie Malfitana Strawhand, and Adam Ross. There will also be testing in a late model at Hickory Motor Speedway, and online classes. At the end of the program one of the 18 drivers chosen will be selected as the 2012 Premier Driver for Race 101 and drive the 2012 Premier car for a full season.
Sarah says she is eager to be a part of the Race 101 team and feels blessed to have been chosen. Sarah can't wait to put her knowledge to the test, and take advantage of every opportunity in the coming season. Sarah will be running the full ARCA West OK Tire regional traveling series which runs across BC, along with several other races yet to be determined. "This season will be one of learning curves and success as I have only ever run on one of the tracks in the series, but I am really looking forward to it and everything it brings" said Sarah.
