VIDEO: That guy who was in Firefly tries to make a PSA aimed at gamers Posted: 07 Jul 2011 02:45 PM PDT And it’s all about something that brings shame to gamers all across this nation: swamp ass. Or something like that. It’s… okay, I guess. To be honest, I initially thought this was yet another cheesy attempt at pandering to gamers and the tech set by Jimmy Fallon. But upon actual viewing, it’s just a Break production. As for Fillion, nice attempt at being Sam Waterson, but not close enough. No doubt he was trying to channel this classic SNK sketch… |
VIDEO: Girl crushes “Gonna Miss Me” cover with clapping and a beer pong cup Posted: 07 Jul 2011 01:13 PM PDT I’ve got a soft spot for covers that feature more soul than you’d expect from a slightly dorky white girl (see: Karmin). And this cover of Lulu and the Lampshades’ “You’re Gonna Miss Me” by a YouTuber named tay9andahalf definitely fits that criteria. It’s a beast. For the record, my little write-ups after videos like this are heavily impacted by whether I think the girl in the video is of legal age or not. Since I’m not sure, let’s just say that I certainly respect this girl’s cupsmanship and soulful song stylings. I’ve long craved to see someone combine the athleticism of cup stacking with the black musical stylistic thievery of a young Elvis. It brings a tear to my eye to finally see that happen. “You’re Gonna Miss Me” Cover [Buzzfeed] |
New Lindsay Lohan pictures show why she’s still wanted Posted: 07 Jul 2011 01:00 PM PDT You want to know why Lindsay Lohan keeps living the good life despite being a menace to society? These photos for the latest issue of Italian Vanity Fair are good examples of why. Girl just has something about her that oozes sex appeal. As much as I want to loathe LiLo, and many days I actually do, anytime I see her in yet another sexy photo shoot I’m drawn back in. She’s like an addictive drug, this girl. Wow, I mentioned Lindsay and addictive drugs in the same story and it’s not a bad thing for once. Nice. |
VIDEO: Again, Japan gets the best version of everything Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:05 PM PDT For a little while there it looked as if Americans would have the last laugh with upcoming PS3 version of No More Heroes. Wrong. I’ve mentioned No More Heroes once before already; when it was first discovered that Wii title was being ported to the 360 and PS3, but with HD remakes, NMH fanboys like myself got all excited. But when no word of an American release was discovered, we all grew sad. Then came word that PS3 version, the one Americans could actually import (since the system is region free), was gimped due to censorship issue, while the 360 version (which is region locked) still had blood flowing. But when it was later discovered that both suffered from crap loading times, everyone just went “whatever.” So when a new version for the PS3 was announced, with improved load times, extra content, AND Move support, along with how it was headed towards the US at a nice price of just $40, we all figured us Americans had the final laugh, since we didn’t have to go through any real headaches and aren’t missing out as usual. And then came word of a piece of DLC that’s headed towards Japanese gamers, which takes the character viewer mode and sheds some of that outer skin, some more than others (NSFW btw)… There is a slight chance that it’ll be release here in America. Like a billion to one. |
