Not only do we get an extra day added to our weekends in celebration of Presidents come and gone, but every freakin’ retailer decides it’s their patriotic duty to slash prices. Man, It’s great to be an American.
 Gap is having a huge sale to commemorate the 44 Presidents to have graced us with their leadership. 44 styles, up to 44% off, and for just 4 days. It’s a pretty epic sale and a great opportunity to purchase some essentials your closet may or may not be missing. Everything from shirts to chinos to blazers, you’ll find the answer to whatever your sartorial need may be. I would recommend falling into your nearest Gap as soon as possible to get the best choice of products. If that’s not your bag, no worries – the sale extends online as well. Check out my 4 favorite pieces and have a great weekend guys! Classic Anorak – on sale $68.60 We all need a Spring jacket that can stave off the elements and still keep us warm. An anorak is the perfect piece of outerwear for that.  Two-pocket blue chambray shirt - on sale $40.88 Chambray is a very lightweight, cotton-based fabric that makes for a great shirt come warmer temperatures. Its tightly woven fibers make for a breathable shirt that doesn’t lack in quality. Gap tends to run big, so look to size down in these shirts if you feel comfortable doing so for a better fit.  Tailored Khaki (straight fit) – on sale $34.65 Once it gets warmer, denim gets harder and harder to wear. You’ll want to have a few pairs of chinos that fit you well. Gap’s tailored khaki chino is probably one the best chinos you’ll find under $50, let alone $40. I mean, do you remember those commercials?  Layering Thermal – on sale $7.99 Every guy needs a few thermals to throw on underneath a polo or button-down to add a little more protection from those blustery days. Definitely size down on these, as you want to keep the underneath layers as slim as possible to avoid looking like the Michelin man.  |

It’s not exactly thrilling basketball when the Rockets and the Sixers get together. But at the very least, I expect some professionalism with regards to grammar. Garbling words nonsensically like you’re Serene Branson at the Grammy’s just isn’t acceptable. Then again, maybe Snow had a complex migraine. |

A week or so ago I said that Maryna Linchuk deserved more attention. Today I am fulfilling that request. I must say that I am loving this lesser known batch of up and coming Victoria’s Secret models including Maryna, Erin Heatherton, Linsday Ellingson, Lily Aldridge, Marloes Horst, and Caroline Francischini. Intimissimi may be on the move up with the tremendous stable of models they’re putting together, but they’ve still got miles to go to catch up to The Company.                                 |

But why? Glad you asked: it’s technically called, I believe, “multiple violations of Twitter’s terms of service.” Most notably is the fact that Ubermedia’s product uses “Twitter” in the name, which makes the actual company named “Twitter” pretty upset. But here’s the “official” statement from our bird overlords, via TechCrunch:
Of course, Twitter’s not nearly as upset as users, though; it’s not even worth your effort trying to load a search of “UberTwitter” in a Tweetdeck column, because the results speed by more quickly than Twitter crashes any time something major happens in the world. And if you do a quick Twitter search, you’re going to get about 3,000 new results cooked up by the time you actually get the page loaded. The easy solution for you, dear UberTwitter user, is to just cave and get Twitter for iPhone, which is actually made by Twitter and therefor won’t be destroyed by our bird overlords. The REALLY bad news about this is that Ubermedia — originally “Tweetup” then “Postup” before becoming “Uber” after buying “UberTwitter” to go along with Echofone and the like — just recently bought Tweetdeck too. So there’s a chance that Twitter might try and kill off the application that actually makes it popular with a ton of people (instead of bothering to fix its own interface, you know). If that happens, there will be as TechCrunch suggested, a war going down in the world of Twitter. Which is slightly cooler than Dungeons and Dragons, I know, but still important for the millions of people who actually utilize the interface for their jobs and such. |
