| Antonia Iacobescu is very famous (sadly, just in Romania) Posted: 09 Feb 2011 01:00 PM PST  Come back to America, Antonia? We need you! I sure do like Romania. Not the country necessarily, I really don’t know anything about it, but the women like the one you see here, Antonia Iacobescu, them I like. Another thing I really enjoy about Romania is their version of FHM. I mean, when you visit their Web site it’s BOOM! topless women right there on the home page. Heck, you don’t even see that on Playboy.com here in the States. What does that say about us as Americans? I think it says we’re kind of lame. Oh, as for Antonia here, apparently she only goes by her first name over in Romania, a la Cher, and get this, she was raised in Utah and Las Vegas until she was 13 before returning to Romania where she proceeded to hit it big in singing and modeling. Just another reason we here in America are quite lame. We let Antonia get away and haven’t used all our powers to bring her back yet. | Auburn pays $170k in legal fees to secure national championship Posted: 09 Feb 2011 12:26 PM PST It’s certainly not a stretch to say that Auburn bought and paid for a national championship. Cam Newton was at one time offered $180k to play at nearby Mississippi State University. While some may dispute that claim, I simply respond with my middle finger. If they were willing to pay that much for Cam’s services, Auburn more than likely upped the ante. $200k? Maybe even a quarter of a million dollars is not something out of the realm of discussion. Of course, the NCAA caught wind of the Newton families master plan and investigated. So Auburn again dipped into their deep booster coffers to pay for a high-priced lawyer to defend them from the claim. $170k to be exact.
So what was the end result of all this? A shiny new trophy and Auburn’s second national championship, that’s what. Whatever monies Auburn spent to receive Cam Newton’s services and subsequently keep him from being suspended is easily replaced by the national exposure they received. Might I also add all that cool new, championship merchandise that I’m sure ended up supplanting some of those Auburn coffers. It makes you wonder really–If you offered any school in the country the chance to win a National Championship at the cost of around $350k a year, would they do it? Hmmm. |
| British tourist dies after butt implant procedure at Philly hotel Posted: 09 Feb 2011 11:47 AM PST Police are seeking a woman for questioning after a 20-year-old student from the UK died in a Philadelphia Hampton Inn hotel after a butt implant injection procedure.  Keyra Augustina is an example of what an oversized booty may look like. Claudia Adusei, the 20-year-old victim, had flown to Philadelphia with three friends for her second butt implant procedure after she had a successful one in November 2010. Adusei received her butt implants around noon. Within twelve hours she began experiencing chest pains and an ambulance had to be called by one of her friends. A preliminary examination by a Delaware county medical examiner revealed that Adusei most likely died from silicone entering her vascular system and stopping her heart. No charges have been filed at this time. This is a really sad story. Partially because the world now has one less delightful rear, but moreso because getting cosmetic surgery from some random woman in a Philadelphia Hampton Inn just seems like a bad idea. There has never been a good situation that’s involved the phrases “low self esteem”, “random hotel room”, and “butt injection”. I’m pretty sure that’s why Freddie Mercury isn’t still performing Bohemian Rhapsody before sold out arenas across the globe with Queen. | How dare you insult the Jimmer on Facebook! Posted: 09 Feb 2011 10:06 AM PST BYU sensation Jimmer Fredette has become college basketball royalty this season. His scoring outbursts have been nothing short of spectacular and has even spawned whispers of one, Pete Maravich. And as much as he’s liked around the country, he’s absolutely adored in Utah where students and alumni have made videos fawning over him. But one BYU student isn’t so enamored with the Jimmer and she took to her Facebook page to let everyone know that idolatry is strictly forbidden in Mormon scripture.
Moral of the story: Don’t insult the Jimmer. But if you do, make sure you’re don’t post your opinions on Facebook where your Mormon friends will come to his defense. |
