| Gilbert Arenas is not so merry around the holidays Posted: 30 Dec 2010 12:36 PM PST It hasn’t been a very good stretch for Gilbert Arenas the last few years. Although, you could argue that his trade to the Orlando Magic recently at least put him in a position to win an NBA championship. Off the court though? Well, Gilbert hasn’t been playing nice with his fiancee or his three kids around the holidays. In fact, you could probably say he’s been a bit of a Grinch.
Ouch! I realize that the statement is from Govan’s publicist so it’s probably a bit slanted but I’m not sure how Arenas can spin that in a positive way for himself. I do wonder though why somebody who couldn’t afford food or Christmas gifts somehow has enough money to afford a publicist. I’m thinking her salary alone could probably get the kids some Tonka trucks, some fruitcake and eggnog. Possibly even a toy basketball. | Misdiagnosis leads to penis accidentally being amputated Posted: 30 Dec 2010 12:10 PM PST In the annals of terrible three-word situations, there are few that strike fear in the hearts of many men quite as strongly as “penis accidentally amputated”. Cross your legs and read on, good sirs. The man returned six months later, telling doctors that his foreskin was irritated. He was told his penis was merely inflamed, leading the man to continue with the clinic’s treatment. The man’s condition didn’t improve, so he made an appointment at another hospital. After five months, doctors at the new hospital were able to schedule him for an appointment. Doctors then found the “inflammation” and “infections” were actually cancer. The man needed his penis amputated to keep the cancer from spreading. Well, I guess the key takeaway is to always get a second opinion whenever you have pain in your dong. Or to try to not get cancer there. Really, both. Oh, and that clinics don’t take nearly enough time examining the penises of elderly men. “Save that one for an old woman with low standards,” is probably the company motto at that clinic. | I am glad that I am known for my talent and not for my clothes or controversies: Anushka Sharma Posted: 30 Dec 2010 04:02 PM PST Anushka Sharma has said she is glad she is known for her talent but has questioned why she gets less hype than other Bollywood actresses. Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror the actress said she does not know why Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were more famous than her. "I don’t know. You tell me. Having given three hits back-to-back in three years I wonder why there is not as much hype about me as them," she said. Sharma added that she thinks the other leading ladies are less famous for their films than they are for their off-screen activities. "I am glad that I am known for my talent and not for my clothes or controversies," she told the paper. Sharma made her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, for which she was nominated for a Filmfare award.
